Fear: We all share fear of rejection in varying degrees but it`s something we need to overcome regardless of our level of musical expression. What better way to over come your fear than with a receptive audience.
Time: Can you spare one Saturday evening a month to share your music, make friends and have fun?
Money: Give what you can. $5 suggested donation
What do you need to do?
Simply RSVP and share this event with your friends.
Prepare a song or two or three. We`ll form a circle and take turns in rotation. How many songs you can share depends on how many people are in the circle.
How will you be nourished?
By meeting monthly with like minded people with a similar focus we will make a relationship with the complete cycle of songwriting, this activity which is so personal and can be so influential in the hearts and minds of people.
Worst Fear?
Making a mistake – Oh my goodness! If you keep going most people won`t even notice!
What will you gain?
Maybe you`ll start a band with one of the participants.
Maybe you`ll be inspired to write a new song.
Maybe you`ll be invited to play on somebody’s recording.
When: 1st Saturday 5pm-8pm
Where: 4435 Driftwood Pl
What to bring? An instrument, music stand, sheet music and copies if you want to share, or tablet ( welcome to the modern age ).
Please: No electric instruments or amplifiers except for bass players with small amps and who rsvp. We have a keyboard set up in the room.
